sign of summer

While grocery shopping with Tot, we discovered fresh peaches for just 47 cents a pound.  So I bought four pounds worth.  I was all giddy with the thought of making a fresh peach pie & peach cobbler during the winter months when peaches will no longer be in season.


I promptly brought them home, wash & peeled them and admired their loveliness.


And then I bagged them for future use and said goodbye as I tossed them into the freezer. {Okay, not really.  I don't talk to my food.  Well, sometimes I do.....but only if it's not cooperating with me.}
