our Easter weekend

I love Easter weekend.  It is usually spent with my side of the family, a large meal & good stories told around the dinner table while dessert is eaten.  I was planning on spending this Easter (far away from my family) with our little family gathered in our tiny apartment eating a tiny meal and napping the afternoon away.  Instead, we were kindly invited to eat dinner with some friends.  We ate with some of their extended family, dining on juicy ham, creamy potato salad and yummy quinoa salad.

Our sweet hosts offered to have the kids do an egg hunt even though their children are grown and gone.  Sweet, I tell you.

The Mr. was sneaky & hid an egg in his shirt. The kids were completely oblivious & I finally had to point it out to them.

I hope you had a lovely holiday weekend with your loved ones.   I am amazed everyday that I have been blessed with such precious children and one husband who I could never live without.  And that our Heavenly Father loves us enough that He has given us a way to return to Him as an eternal family.  Christ's Atonement is truly the greatest of all gifts.  We are truly blessed.

Spring flowers are in bloom and I have some pretty photos to share with you this week.  I hope you'll stop by to see.
