to my mom on mother's day

Hello Mom,

Today is Mother's Day - the first one that will pass and I am not there.  Even though we are separated by 2,000 miles, my heart and thoughts are with you today.  I want you to know that I love you.  That you are a huge inspiration to me and that I would not be the woman I am today if it were not for you.  Your personal sacrifice and perseverance  have rubbed off on me and for that I will always be grateful.  I hope that this Mother's Day finds you well and happy and loved.  Our little family sends you all our love with a cherry on top.
